Those are some nice conditions. The tower made me do a case ii and I could barely see the ship in final and throughout the pattern. They should have called case iii honestly

This right here, is why I wish PC gaming was more prevalent. I know you're not gonna just jump into the canopy of a real aircraft and be able to repeat what you can do in a video game against overwhelming speeds and gravity force pushing down on you, but this is way more fun to watch and looks way more fun to play than anything you'll ever find on console. Learning all of this too would be a wonderful time too, because this is close to real as you can get, short of the part where a recruiter takes you to Red Lobster, but I could've done without that part to be honest. Give your Pilot a pat on the shoulder too, mid-flight refuelling is no joke even to real Pilots. I watched gopro footage of a real Pilot doing that and even he had a hard time. 👍👍👍

Sometimes the game just fucks with you. Especially in the Tomcat. I’ve had my left landing gear break on a cat launch and had to perform a precision bombing mission with it stuck down. I’ve had the flaps stay down even with the flap bar in the full up position, so that upon taking off they broke and got stuck in the down position. I absolutely hate when the flaps get stuck it makes it such a pain in the arse to fly. I admit I have done it accidentally a few times(more than a few) but the last time it happened it was no fault of mine. I put the flaps up before even taxiing to the cat, yet they stayed down. Something you can’t tell from inside the cockpit(I try really hard not to use F2 view) although I guess I could have looked at the flap indicator..

Keep it up bro. You are the reason why I want to fly. I play DCS all the time and try to get better and better everyday. I will be gone for a while, but I'll be back in 3 months. I'm leaveing for Marines bootcamp this weekend. My job is Aircraft Maintenence. I will get to work on something I love. Then when I have time I'll get to play some DCS.

Flying with buddies is another level of fun. Took me a while to get the multiplayer sorted, but Im glad I did.
